This Certified Medication Aide class in Oklahoma prepares you to safely administer routine medications under the supervision of a licensed nurse. You’ll learn proper medication handling, documentation, safety procedures, and state regulations. Designed for healthcare professionals, this training helps you build the skills needed to expand your role in long-term care and support quality patient care. This class will also prepare you for your CMA certification exam. Prerequisites: proficient in reading, speaking and understanding English, HS diploma or GED, current CNA card with CNA work experience (6 months at least), proof of TB skin test, social security card, and government photo ID. You must be fully paid or have a signed payment plan agreement on file at least 7 days prior to the class start date. Cost includes the $100 exam fee. A $60 non-refundable fee is required, which includes application processing and a criminal background check. Registration is pending the results of your background check. Our 8 week training program covers all the essential skills and knowledge needed for a certified Phlebotomy Technician, such as venipuncture, safety measures, and handling biohazards. It prepares you for the American Medical Certification Association (AMCA) exam. The skill labs include 40-100 live draws during class or clinical experience.
